Field Study #6

date and time: November 25 at 5:45

present climate conditions: really cold rainy and it was dark out and there was wind

temperature: 44 degrees F

length of day: 7:47 am - 5:12 pm

Organisms

Today I found nothing there was not any insect sounds or any birds I also haven't seen any more bigger organisms since the blog a few weeks ago where we found the cray fish and the frogs also because of the rain and the muddy soil I was not able to see any more raccoon tracks but I'm sure they are there or are getting ready for the winter.

changes noticed since the last visit

Today it was really cold which was a change form last time it also has been rainy a lot and was also rainy when I was there which is a change in weather I've been noticing. One other thing I noticed, I don't know if this was because it was night but other than sounds of the wind there was hardly any sounds of animals and because the wind was so strong it was hard to hear the river. Unfortunately I also saw the same pollution in the water still and because of the harsh weather I was not able to get it out. Last change I noticed was that there was some green algae by some logs that where down in the river which I thought was a little weird because it was getting colder.

Field Study #5

date and time: Thursday Nov 14 time: 4:30

present climate conditions: cold and it had rained recently and the winds were high

temperature: 46 degrees F

length of day: 7:35-5:19

Organisms

Saw hardly any animals today I think they are starting to hide away for the winter, and most of the plants are either brown or dead.

changes noticed since the last visit

One change is everything looks kinda gray. Last visit there was a lot of color in the trees and some of the plants where still alive but this time everything was dead and the trees had for the most part lost all of their leaves. There was only one bright red tree. There also was also no crickets and frogs that you could hear they are starting to either dye or prepare for winter, and unfortunately there was some pollution in the river.

Field study #4

date and time: Wednesday October, 30 time: 5:50

present climate conditions: cool warm temperatures but there was a steady wind.

temperature: 76 F

length of day: 8:15 am to 6:37 pm

Organisms

There were not many organisms this time There were some plants but most of them were dead and I did see one frog but if jumped into the water before I could get a picture.

changes noticed since the last visit

One big change since last time is the amount of plant life the climate was pretty similar but the trees were mostly all fall colors and some had no leaves. That means that there were a lot of dead leaves on the ground and for the most part the plants are starting to dye. this time I also did not see as many raccoon tracks. I think this might be because lack of crayfish in the water. Overall I think that it was so pretty to see the leaves change color and it makes me realize that it is so important to keep care of God's creation that way we can see the pretty creation like even the simple things like plants and trees changing color. It also makes me wonder and be in awe of our God because He is so powerful and we can see His power and beauty through the detail He puts in creation and it makes me want to learn more like how climate effects plants.

Field Study #3

date and time: Sun. October, 13 time: 4:45

present climate conditions: really windy pretty cold there is a storm coming in so the weather is almost rainy but it hasn't rained yet

temperature: 57 degrees F.

length of day: 7:54 am to 7:02 pm

Organisms

This time I visited the river I saw less organisms than last time how ever this time I did see a frog. However last time there were a lot of crayfish and a lot more bugs. Even though there wasn't much organisms I did see some cool moss that was growing near the river and I also saw more raccoon tracks in the mud.

changes noticed since the last visit

One major change that happened as you can see in some of the pictures below is a lot of the trees have completely changed color like the red tree in the picture below and the tree in the spot I always take the same picture. Since that trees leaves mainly changed color last time it was beginning to loose its leaves. It was also overall colder but a big part of that was the wind form the storm. I also do think that from the rain we have got by our house the river level as risen a little.

Field study #2

date and time: Sun. Sep 29 5:31

present climate conditions: windy kinda cold but some glimpse of sun

temperature: 79 degrees F.

length of day: 7:38 am- 7:26 pm

Organisms

Today when I was going to the pond I saw lots of different organisms. There were some cray fish in the water and there was lots of bugs and spiders. There was also some cool plants like some berries and there were even mushrooms. There also was some raccoon foot marks in the mud.

changes noticed since the last visit.

One thing that I noticed from last visit is that the leaves in the tree shown below have changed color since last time. One other thing that I noticed changing was that the water was slightly cooler and there was more of a breeze.

Field Study #1

Pictures of area from sky view

Overview of the Area I choose
Field Notes
Time of study: 4:30 on Sunday
good sunny weather with light wind
69 degrees Fahrenheit
length of day: sunrise 7:15- sunset 8:04
organisms smelled, felt, heard, or seen, etc (sketches/photos/video where possible) when I was in my location I heard the rusteling of the river and there were a lot of trees today and they were blowing in the wind which made a really pretty rustling noice. I also did hear some cars because the river is near a bridge crossing. There were not many creatures there today sometimes we can find crayfish in the water but didn't find any this time.
one thing that I noticed that I have never noticed before is the vines that are shown in one of the pictures. The trees are almost completely covered and I thought that was really cool.
I really thought this showed how beautiful God's creation is because I love all of the sounds and sights at this river because it has so many vibrant colors and cool sounds of the moving water.
